Oak Bend Review is an Online/Print Journal for the purpose of promoting the Arts. Our goal is to print an issue quarterly. Our website features the current issue as well as archives where you will find previous issues and links where you can order them.
Please read the online issue before submitting so you will know what we like.
How To Submit: All submisssions must be embedded into the body of an email. Provide contact information, including email address and (50 words or less) bio. Book Reviews:

Include a brief bio with publishing credits, gallery links, etc.
If you have a book, journal, anthology, chapbook, etc. (poetry, fiction, or otherwise) that you would like reviewed on the website, contact Sandee Lyles at sandeelyles@yahoo.com The reviews will only appear on the website. We will put up a list of books for review each month or so and people can choose from the list. We cannot promise yours will be chosen but we will do our best. We will require you to send two copies of the book. (Copies will not be returned unless your book was not chosen, in which case they will.) Oak Bend Review will not review self-published books. Do not send books without query first.
MUSIC LOVERS: Oak Bend Review is also very interested in promoting professional emerging bands/musicians of all types with interviews and links to YouTube videos. If you are a serious musician and would like to be promoted for free on the Oak Bend Review website (and possibly in print), please contact: sandeelyles@yahoo.com

If chosen, you should receive word within 1-2 weeks of submitting your information.
We don't mind simultaneous submissions as long as you let us know immediately if/when the work is accepted elsewhere. Please do not send multiple submissions. Once you hear from us, wait at least 2 months before submitting again. We're excited to hear from you. Submitting work to Oak Bend Review grants us permission to publish upon acceptance and gives us first publishing rights for an upcoming issue and possibly for BEST OF OBR ANTHOLOGY - both print and electronic. DO NOT SEND PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED WORK (unless requested). Now send us your wonderful work! We can’t wait!

Regarding Contributor Copies:
Oak Bend Review issues are all online FOR FREE. We do not sell e-copies. Our readers do not have to pay a thing. Therefore, we cannot afford to offer free contributor copies. We do make print copies available for anyone who would like to purchase a keepsake of Oak Bend Review and they are beautiful. Maybe at some point we will be able to offer these free to contributors but at this time it is just not possible as we spend much more than we make. We are staffed with volunteers who all work regular jobs in addition to the many hours spent working on these issues. We do this because we love this. Rest assure that, OBR is a quality journal that is getting read. If you are a contributor, we will promote you and your endeavors and you will be part of a respected journal that is getting great feedback.
